| Istrobanka will have a new strategic owner |

| Austrian BAWAG P.S.K., the sole owner of ISTROBANKA, a.s., decided that it will achievely review offers for 100 % share in its Slovak and Czech subsidiaries. BAWAG P.S.K. reacted to interest of many investors.
This fact means strategic challenge for ISTROBANKA ´s future. Also will bring advantages for bank clients - positively will impact number of selling points, quality of bank products and last, but not least will positively influence the bank value on the market. Process of selection should be finished in short time.
ABOUT ISTROBANKA
Bank establishment and orientation
ISTROBANKA (stock holding company) is the universal bank with a full foreign-exchange licence and licence to provide mortgage loans. Established on September 1, 1992, concession to commence banking activities received on December 1, 1992.
Bank shareholders
ISTROBANKA`s founding shareholder was Slovenská poistovna, a.s., Bratislava (Slovak Insurance Company, stock holding company). In 1993 Capital City of the Slovak Republic, Bratislava became another shareholder. Shareholder structure was extended in 1994 by the third shareholder GiroCredit Bank AG, Vienna that has merged with Die Erste oesterreichische Spar-Casse Bank AG to form a new entity Erste Bank der oesterreichischen Sparkassen AG.
With effect from july 1, 2008, the belgian bank - assurance company KBC - became the principal shareholder of ISTROBANKA, a.s., Bratislava. and holds 100% stake within the bank.

Branches and sub-branches of ISTROBANKA are located throughout the whole territory of Slovakia and the bank continuously builds new branches and sub-branches.
