| Anheuser-Busch InBev Q4 Profit Falls |

| (RTTNews) - Brewer Anheuser-Busch InBev (BUD: News ,AHBIF.PK: News ) on Thursday reported a decline in fourth-quarter profit, despite higher revenues, as the prior year benefited from asset disposals.
Profit attributable to equity holders of AB InBev slipped to $968 million from $1.28 billion in the prior year. Earnings per share dropped to $0.61 from $0.81.
The latest results included a loss of $0.03 per share related to non-recurring items, compared to a gain of $0.64 per share last year related partly to the sale of the company's Central European and South Korean businesses. Results also included non-recurring finance cost of $0.13, compared to $0.38 last year.
Adjusted for items, normalized profit attributable to equity holders of AB InBev increased to $1.22 billion from $877 million in the previous year. Normalized earnings per share rose to $0.77 from $0.55.
Revenue in the quarter grew to $9.47 billion from $9.3 billion in the same quarter last year.
The maker of Budweiser, Beck's and Stella Artois said that on an organic basis, revenue from North America rose to $3.56 billion from $3.5 billion and Latin America-North revenues increased to $3.16 billion from $2.7 billion.
Total volumes for the quarter fell to 99.78 million hectoliters from 101.72 million hectoliters in the prior year. Focus Brand volumes grew 4.8% from last year.
The company's Board proposed a dividend of 0.80 euros per share payable from May 2.
Looking ahead, the company expects first-quarter volumes in fiscal 2011 to be soft, hurt by high unemployment rates in the U.S. and heavy rains in Brazil. Momentum is expected to build from the second quarter into the second half.
The company projects 2011 net capital expenditures to be between $2.7 billion and $2.9 billion, higher than this year's $2.1 billion.
The company's stock closed in Brussels on Wednesday at 40.17 euros, down 2.31% from the previous close.
