| Peter Mikle-Barat, director of the state con-trolled aviation repairs company Letecke opravovne (LO) j.s.c. Trencin, wants to build an aviation industrial park on the company’s estate. He said that LO were already in talks with major airplane pro-ducers such as Airbus, Boeing, and Lockheed Martin on the possible transfer of parts of their production or servicing centers to Trencin. However, he was not able to estimate either the value or date when the park should be built. He thinks that some investments could realistically arrive to Trencin in 2008.
LO currently employs 430 people. In the coming period the company plans to em-ploy around 70 more. LO’s net profit last year was Sk 26m.
