| Austria's President Visits Slovakia After Four Years |
| Bratislava, 05.06.2012 |
|
| Austria's President Heinz Fischer with his wife Margit paid official visit to Slovakia on Monday. Fischer came at the invitation of Slovak President Ivan Gašparovič to confirm the trouble-free political dialogue between the two countries and provide impetus for intensifying economic co-operation. Both presidents also discussed the debt crisis in the euro zone, the state of preparations of the EU budget for 2014-2020, and European prospects of countries in the Western Balkans. The last time the head of Austria visited Slovakia was in 2008.
