| Meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the V4 countries |

| On 5 September 2006 the first meeting of Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the V4 countries during the Slovak V4 Presidency will be held in Bratislava. Czech Republic will be represented by Mr. Alexandr Vondra, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hungary by Ms. Kinga Göncz, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Poland by Ms. Barbara Tuge-Erecinska, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Slovakia by Mr. Ján Kubiš, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
At the meeting, the first steps already taken by Slovakia - the Presidency country and the “Program of Slovakia´s V4 Presidency 2006/2007” will be presented. The document will be officially adopted at the Prime Minister´s summit in Visegrád, Hungary.
During the plenary session, issues like evaluation of the preparedness of V4 countries for the accession to the Schengen agreement, future NATO enlargement, actual development in the Western Balkans region, EU enlargement by Romania and Bulgaria and increasing of the budget of the International Visegrad Fund will be discussed.
The V4 Foreign Ministers will be joined at the working lunch by Mr. Borys Tarasyuk, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, and will exchange views about the political situation in Ukraine and cooperation of V4 countries with Ukraine.odkaz na stránku
