Budget Adoption Problems Remain Unsolved
Skopje, 24.12.2012
The work of the Legislative Committee basically could not start under normal working conditions. The opposition MPs opposed the start of the work, warning that it intends to tries to quickly and illegitimately review their amendments to the 2013 budget and protested because the Government had borrowed another 100 million euros on Friday. They were singing the national anthem and traditional songs to prevent Blagorodna Dulic, the Chairperson of the Committee, from reading the amendments. The opposition described the ruling MPs as “thieves”. “It is obvious that you are preventing the Committee from doing its job – stating its view on the 2013 budget. As Chairperson, I will demand at a coordination meeting hosted by PS Veljanoski that he voice his stance and that measures be taken to complete the obligations related to the budget,” Dulic said.
