| The Russian government will give Belarus $2 billion dollars in 2014 |

| RBC Daily wrotes. Russia’s President Vladimir Putin has announced this decision after the session of the Supreme State Council of Russia and Belarus which was held on Wednesday. He reminded that the total amount of Russia’s investment in Belarus is $5.8 billion. The new loan with a term of ten years will be paid out of the federal budget and other sources; however, the daily highlights that the National Wealth Fund will be untouched. Alexey Ulyukaev, head of the Ministry of Economic Development, added that details were still being worked out. The daily reminds that earlier this month Russia reached an agreement with Ukraine to purchase $15 billion worth of its Eurobonds with a 5% interest rate; at the time, Minister Siluyanov said that it was a more secure method that providing a state loan.
