| Czech cabinet approves plan for short time to protect jobs |

| The Czech government approved on Monday a measure enabling the state to subsidise wages so companies can keep workers in their jobs, the latest in a string of measures to aid an economic recovery.
Workers could get 70 percent of their average salary, with the state paying 20 percentage points of that and companies covering the rest, under the terms of the measure. |
