| SR and the United Arab Emirates deepen their economic cooperation |

| Miroslav Lajèák, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, in Bratislava today (22 April) signed a Memorandum of Understanding between the Government of the Slovak Republic (SR) and the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on establishing a SR-UAE Joint Economic Committee. The document was signed on behalf of UAE by Sultan Bin Saeed Al Mansoori, Minister of Economy of UAE, who is on his first visit to Slovakia.
The wording of the Memorandum, shortly before it was signed, was approved by the SR government in its regular meeting. The signing of this document will foster deepening mutual cooperation between Slovakia and the Emirates especially in the economic area through cooperation between businesses, investors and experts. The UAE is an important regional economy and presents a significant potential for investment as well as in its market.
Relations between SR and UAE are problem-free and developing dynamically. Both parties are interested in further deepening ties, especially in the economic and trade areas.
