| Belgian Embassy in Slovakia wound up |

| Belgian Ambassador to Slovakia, Christian Lepage, ended his mission in Slovakia in July. With the outgoing ambassador, also the operation of the whole representation office in Bratislava ends.
Slovak Foreign and European Affairs Minister, Miroslav Lajèák, received Lepage within a concluding visit, and thanked him for his work, as quoted by the TASR newswire. He also stressed the high level of Slovak-Belgian relations, being flawless and very good, in both political and economic fields.
The Belgian government closes the Bratislava office because of budgetary reasons, the Slovak ministry informed. However, Belgian companies continue to enhance their investment and business activities.
