| State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Ivan Korèok had on 14 - 15 September bilateral talks with his French counterpart Harlem Désir, State Secretary for European Affairs and with Philippe Leglise-Costa, the General Secretary for European Affairs of the Government of France.
The talks mainly focused on a range of EU topics, including migration, energy and climate policy drawing to the Paris Climate 2015/ COP21 Conference, future of the Economic and Monetary Union and Eurozone, Energy Union, as well as the situation in Ukraine. Preparation and priorities of the Slovak Presidency in the Council of the EU were also discussed.
Both partners confirmed the absence of problems in bilateral relations and the enhanced dynamics of mutual cooperation in the last several years based on two visits of the French President François Hollande to Slovakia within only 18 months, intensive bilateral consultations of the EU Affaires State Secretaries.
