| Slobodník appreciated the activities of Iranian Ambassador Tajik |

| State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Igor Slobodník met with Ambassador of Iran (seated in Vienna) Hassan Tajik on the occasion of his three-year diplomatic mission ending.
At the beginning of the meeting, State Secretary Slobodník appreciated the activities of the Iranian Ambassador and his contribution to reinforcing the bilateral relations of our countries and conveyed appreciation on behalf of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Miroslav Lajčák, who is attending the 70th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Both representatives positively appreciated the bilateral dialogue between our countries, which has recently been enhanced, and appreciated the top-level contacts and extended hopes that this trend will continue. Hopes for closer cooperation in trade and commerce, culture and science were also expressed. Both countries should confirm their readiness for closer cooperation in trade via an early signing of the Double Taxation Prevention Agreement and ongoing talks about an Investments Promotion and Protection Agreement.
