| President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner today called Mauricio Macri, the newly elected president, to congratulate him after Sunday’s presidential runoff gave him a victory over the ruling party candidate Daniel Scioli.
According to government sources, the head of state will meet with Daniel Scioli and his running mate Carlos Zannini on Monday, and is scheduled to receive Macri on Tuesday to begin discussions over the 18-day transition until December 10, when the new president takes office.
