| State Secretary Slobodník discusses Europe-Belarus relations in Minsk |

| Igor Slobodník, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, visited Minsk on Monday (30 November) upon an invitation from Elena N. Kupchina, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.
Besides political consultations in the context of evaluating the relations between Belarus and the European Union, the partners reiterated their countries’ interest in extending bilateral economic contacts, including tourism and its related direct transport connections between the countries. The discussion topics also included support for a more relaxed visa regime between Belarus and the EU.
The official work program of State Secretary Slobodník also included opening an exhibition of photographs of Slovakia in the Museum of Theatrical Art. At the conclusion of the visit, State Secretary Slobodník also met with Valery Brylov, Foreign Policy Adviser to the President of Belarus.
