| Statement of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic on the OSCE Serbian Chairmanship |

| The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic appreciates the work carried out by Serbian diplomacy, which chaired the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) in 2015. The Serbian Chairmanship was dominated by the ongoing Ukrainian crisis and continuous fight against terrorism following the Paris terrorist attacks. Slovakia appreciates the Serbian Chairmanship initiatives focused on strengthening security and cooperation in Europe. The Slovak Republic actively joined OSCE activities throughout the year and it supported the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine (SMM) tasked with peace process promotion in Ukraine with staff secondments. We appreciate the interest shown by the Serbian Chairmanship in boosting the discussion focused on energy infrastructure protection. We also welcome the attention paid by the Serbian Chairmanship to cyber security. All the activities mentioned above represent a serious contribution toward the smooth transition of the Presidency baton under the leadership of Germany. Slovakia welcomes the new German Chairmanship and looks forward to close cooperation. MZV |
