| Interior Ministry will rent 50 luxury cars |

| The rental pertains to Slovakia’s presidency over the EU Council.
The Interior Ministry wants to rent some 50 luxury cars for one year, with the possibility to buy them later, the Public Procurement Office informed on its website.
The order amounting to €4 million includes the one-year rental of the cars with special additional fittings and equipment, optional additional fittings and equipment with the subsequent possibility to purchase the vehicles after the rental period is over, as well as the supply of the most used original spare parts and related services, the TASR newswire reported.
The competition was won by companies Group M, Rija – Bavaria, and Porsche Slovakia.
“It is a rental of vehicles pertaining to securing the Slovak presidency over the EU Council and transport of foreign guests who will attend various events held in Slovakia,” Interior Ministry’s spokesperson Peter Lazarov said last November, as quoted by TASR.
The ministry does not have to purchase the vehicles after the rental period is over, but will rather have a chance to do so, he stressed.
