Bratislava, 18.04.2017
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Lukáš Parízek, received the new Ambassador of Ukraine to Slovakia, Yuriy Mushka, today (11 April). In discussion with the Ukrainian partner the state secretary emphasized: “Ukraine is an important neighbour of the Slovak Republic and of the European Union at our eastern border with whom our country has been developing traditionally good neighbourly relations.” Parízek underscored that SR supports the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine. He also expressed his conviction that the new ambassador of Ukraine will focus on development of our mutual bilateral trade, economic and cultural relations that will be growing deeper on both sides. For several years the Slovak Republic has been assisting Ukraine on its transformation and reforms of approximation with the European Union. The ambassador presented his key intents and goals in his new mission, including the priority of developing mutual commercial relations, to the state secretary. He expressed appreciation for SR’s assistance to his country in the process of economic transformation and experience sharing. The partners discussed also the process of the EU granting a visa-free regime for Ukraine as well as implementation of the Minsk Agreements. “Our interest is that Ukraine is a stabilized, safe, democratic and prosperous European country,” stated State Secretary Parízek. odkaz na stránku
