| Parízek received Vietnam’s Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade |

| State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic Lukáš Parízek received Deputy Minister for Industry and Trade of Vietnam, Hoang Quoc Vuong, leading the Vietnamese delegation at the 2nd meeting of the Intergovernmental Vietnamese-Slovak Joint Commission for Economic Cooperation held in Bratislava on 20-21 June 2017.
The representatives confirmed a good level of political cooperation and traditionally friendly relations to be used to promote concrete investment projects and economic interests, especially after signing the EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA). The State Secretary supported Vietnam in realizing more economic reforms.
“Slovakia and Vietnam must use the momentum of excellent relations between the two countries, being best ever, and deepen the cooperation in mutual trade,” said Parízek vis-à-vis the economic relations.
They agreed on tackling the visa issue for Slovak citizens to intensify mutual relations. They also agreed on a shared interest in extending the cooperation in all areas such as education, culture, justice, defense, informatics, science and tourism.
