| Mitsubishi Electric reveals new vehicle technology |

| Mitsubishi Electric Corp. unveiled to the media on Oct. 16 a next-generation technology that shows traffic lanes for the driver of a vehicle on a monitor in front of the windshield in the event of poor visibility due to bad weather.
The monitor also displays road conditions in times of unfavorable weather such as dense fog or snow.
The major electronics and machinery maker will showcase the technology at the Tokyo Motor Show, set to open on Oct. 27.
Mitsubishi Electric will also exhibit a technology to detect drowsy and inattentive driving by checking the driver’s sight lines through a wide-angle camera in the vehicle.
The company plans to promote the new driver-assist technologies to automakers from next fiscal year.Speech
