| US firm Seisa Medical plans to build a new production plant in Myjava. Gradually it should employ 500 people, mainly women. Last Friday company and city representatives signed a contract on the entry of Seisa Europe to the local Javorinska industrial park.
The company produces medical subcomponents, primarily dedicated for the US market. The operation in Myjava will be the company’s first ever on the European market. However, the output from the plant, which should launch production in the autumn of 2007, will be directed to Denmark, Ireland, and Spain. By the end of this year the plant should employ around 150 people.
