| State Secretary Parízek presents Minister’s Golden Plaque to Ambassador of Norwegian Kingdom as she completes diplomatic mission to Slovakia |

| On 24 July 2018, Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, received the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway to Slovakia, Inge Magistad, on the occasion of the completion of her diplomatic mission to the Slovak Republic. On behalf of Minister Miroslav Lajčák, the state secretary presented the ambassador with the Golden Plaque of the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs for her exceptional engagement, significant personal contribution and achievements while building and enhancing, at all levels, bilateral relations and cooperation between the Slovak Republic and the Kingdom of Norway. The State Secretary also thanked the ambassador for the financial assistance that has been provided to the Slovak Republic via grants from the financial mechanisms of the European Economic Area and Norway. The partners acknowledged the current degree of mutual bilateral relations, which was accentuated by the recent visit of Slovakia’s president to the Kingdom of Norway and its results. They concluded that there is an interest to gear-up the dynamics of Slovak-Norwegian cooperation with an emphasis on the economic area. Ambassador Magistad highlighted the upcoming chairmanship of the OSCE by the Slovak Republic as an appropriate platform to implement bilateral projects, particularly with the support of financial mechanisms through Norwegian grants. State Secretary Parízek emphasized the proactive approach and openness towards our OSCE partners and the target to deliver effective results during Slovakia’s chairmanship of this significant organisation.
