| Ambassador-Designate of Switzerland on fostering Slovak-Swiss relations |

| Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, received today (26 July) Alexander Hoffet, Ambassador-Designate of the Swiss Confederation to Slovakia at the occasion of presenting credentials. State Secretary Parízek highlighted the level and intensity of bilateral relations in the political and economic areas with regular political dialogue at the ministerial level gradually developing, and reciprocal visits of presidents of both countries having taken place with the presence of the entrepreneurial community.
As for planned activities, the partners mentioned the upcoming interactions at the ministerial and parliamentary levels, as well as at the level of V4. The partners agreed that prospects for mutual cooperation still can be seen in the enhancement of economic cooperation and exchange of experience in areas such as science, research, innovations and dual education. They also talked about the current development of relations between the EU and Switzerland. State Secretary Parízek emphasized a pro-active approach and openness to dialogue with key partners within the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe and the aim to achieve effective results during Slovakia’s chairmanship.
