Bratislava, 24.09.2018 |

(20 September 2018), Lukáš Parízek, State Secretary of the Slovak Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, received the designated ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Slovak Republic, with residence in Vienna, René Rosager Dinesen, who took the opportunity to present his credentials.
The new ambassador appreciated the excellent bilateral relations between the two countries and particularly pointed to the May 2018 visit of Danish Prime Minister Lars Lokke Rasmussen to Slovakia. It was the first visit of a Danish Prime Minister in fifteen years. “Slovakia and Denmark are members of the EU and NATO and we share the same values – that is why our international cooperation is the result of a natural partnership,” State Secretary Parízek highlighted. He also assured his partner that Slovakia wishes to further deepen the bilateral relationship between the countries and repeated the hope that next year Slovakia will be able to welcome Frederick, Crown Prince of Denmark, as well as a mission of entrepreneurs. “Economic diplomacy presents opportunities for further enhancement of collaboration between our countries in economic areas,” State Secretary Parízek emphasized.
In 2019, Slovakia will preside over OSCE and OECD. Currently it chairs the V4. Parízek assured his partner that as part of chairing these international organizations, Slovakia will try to achieve all of the set goals.
In the informal atmosphere of the meeting, Parízek reminded his partner of the fact that Slovakia is organizing the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2019, following Denmark’s hosting of the event and that the teams will play a match against each other.
