| Lajčák receives the Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund |

| Miroslav Lajčák, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, received today (16 October 2018) Andor Dávid, the new Executive Director of the International Visegrad Fund (IVF) from Hungary, who took office in August this year. They mainly discussed the focus of the fund´s activities for the next three years when Dávid will hold this office. In this regard the Executive Director presented the priorities for his activities, lying in increasing the number and quality of projects, continuing in the geographic orientation to the Western Balkan countries and those of the Eastern Partnership, as well as in the efforts for acquiring new external partners and donors for the fund.
Minister Lajčák expressed his support for the planned activities of the new IVF Executive Director, as well as the conviction that the joint efforts will help to make the fund´s projects even more attractive. He also expressed the wish that the fund’s activities also reflect the current agenda of Slovakia´s Presidency of the Visegrad Group. “It is necessary that the projects are especially focused on youth, mobility, innovations and startups,” stated Lajčák, appreciating the existing IVF activities not only within the V4 countries but also in the above-mentioned regions of the Eastern Partnership and the Western Balkans.
