Slovakia Inflation Rate 2019

The annual inflation rate in Slovakia declined to 1.9 percent in December 2018 from 2.1 percent in November and below market expectations of 2.1 percent. It was the lowest inflation rate since December last year, as prices slowed for food and non-alcoholic beverages (0.9 percent vs 1 percent in November); recreation & culture (0.4 percent vs 0.6 percent); miscellaneous goods & services (2.7 percent vs 2.8 percent); transport (0.5 percent vs 3.5 percent); and furniture & household equipment (1.9 percent vs 2 percent). Meanwhile, cost advanced further for housing & utilities (3.2 percent vs 2.6 percent); restaurant & hotels (4 percent from 3.8 percent); and health (1.9 percent vs 1.8 percent). Also, inflation was steady for clothing & footwear (1.6 percent, the same as in November); education (1 percent); communication (1.1 percent) and alcoholic beverages & tobacco (1.6 percent). On a monthly basis, consumer prices went down 0.1 percent, the same as in the prior month. Inflation Rate in Slovakia averaged 2.85 percent from 2002 until 2018, reaching an all time high of 9.80 percent in November of 2003 and a record low of -0.90 percent in July of 2016. odkaz na stránku
