Slovaks spend an average of € 5.60 daily for lunch |
Bratislava, 12.02.2020 |

Today, more than 800,000 Slovaks and more than 33 million people worldwide use gastronomic cards during the working day. Employers in Slovakia are increasingly replacing traditional paper meal vouchers with electronic gastronomic cards, which reduce costs for employers by up to 20% and can bring tax and levy savings to traders up to € 915. It results from a survey by Callio, which has been providing electronic food vouchers for 4 years.
Employers reduce costs by up to 20%
A big advantage of an electronic gastroport is that increasing its face value reduces employer costs by more than 20% compared to financial rewards or other forms of rewards. They are exempt from levies. Employees will also appreciate it. "The employee will retain the full value of the charged meal vouchers compared to the financial reward, of which he will pay 30% on taxes and levies," explains Michal Hanzel of GGFS, who brought the Callio electronic card to the market.
