| Development in January 2020 compared with January 2019 |

| Compared with January 2019, turnover in sale and repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles decreased by 4,6 %. The development was affected by a decrease in sale of motor vehicles, where after the growth, which lasted throughout 2019, turnover dropped by 7,9 %. It year-on-year increased in repair and maintenance of motor vehicles and in sale of parts and accessories of motor vehicles.
Turnover in wholesale increased in total by 3 % compared with January 2019, mostly due to a rise in wholesale of food, beverages and tobacco by 10,7 %, non-specialized wholesale by 3,7 % and in wholesale of household goods by 3 %. A fall was mainly recorded in wholesale of agricultural raw material and live animals.
Turnover in retail trade decreased by 1 %. A fall was recorded in most activities, of which the most significant in retail sale not in stalls, stores and in markets by 6,5 % and in retail sale in non-specialized stores by 1,2 %. Turnover year-on-year rose only in three activities, most rapidly in retail sale of other household goods in specialized stores.
Turnover in accommodation also decreased, compared with the corresponding period last year, it dropped by 0,5 %.
Turnover in food and beverage service activities continued to increase, compared with January 2019, it rose by 19,2 %.
