| State Secretary Brocková Discusses a More Effective, Coordinated Presentation of Slovakia Abroad with Her Counterparts |

| Today (15 July 2020) the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Slovak Republic, Ingrid Brocková, received some of her partners from the ministries and institutions involved in the activities aimed at presenting the Slovak Republic abroad. The goal of the meeting was primarily to strengthen the inter-ministerial dialogue and to agree on a future direction and a common approach with regard to the positive visibility of our country abroad.
The meeting at the level of state secretaries provided a necessary impetus for the new political leadership of the ministries, with the aim of reinvigorating the issue of finding a systemic solution to the question of how best to present our country. The State Secretary summarized the content of the meeting thus: “We talked mainly about suggestions for improvement, plans for the future and more effective cooperation between the ministries and institutions involved. There is much room for improvement, and other countries can serve as a source of inspiration.”
The Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs manages the activities of the Working Group for the Coordinated Presentation of the Slovak Republic Abroad. One of the specific results of its activities is the creation of a national brand expressed by the slogan “Good Idea Slovakia.” Its successful implementation was reflected in, among other things, the results of the prestigious independent survey Future Brand Country Index 2019, in which Slovakia experienced a significant shift. This also confirms that today the brand is well established and has a great potential for the presentation of the country in the future.
Brocková evaluated the result of the meeting of the Working Group as follows: “Through joint efforts and a constructive inter-ministerial dialogue, it is possible to achieve specific results that will contribute to building a positive image of our country abroad and to better promoting Slovakia as a brand. This is an assignment for the entire government of Slovakia.”
