Slovak entrepreneurs continue to expand on the Czech market. Last year, for the first time, they became the most frequent foreign owners of Czech companies, when years later they took over the championship from the Russians and this year they are strengthening their leadership. Other positions in the Czech market include Russians, Ukrainians and Germans, according to an analysis by the consulting company Bisnode A Dun & Bradstreet Company.
"Slovaks have added another 368 Czech companies to their portfolios since last spring and they control a total of 14,316," said Petra Štěpánová, an analyst at Bisnode A Dun & Bradstreet Company. According to her, the expansion into the Czech market is a logical step for Slovaks. "The common past of both countries, almost zero language barrier and territorial proximity, play an important role," added Štěpánová.
The number of Russian companies in the Czech Republic decreased by 691 year-on-year, German companies by 304 and the number of companies with Ukrainian owners stagnated. Among the top twenty largest foreign owners, the number of companies with Hungarian capital increased more significantly, by 4.4%. On the contrary, in addition to Russian and German companies in the Czech Republic, companies with owners from Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Belarus, China and the Netherlands also decreased.odkaz na stránku |
