| Employment and average monthly wage in selected sectors of economy in April 2021 |

| Employment increased year-on-year in April 2021 only in information and communication activities and in selected market services. Wage growth was the most significant in accommodation and in the activities of food and beverage services, however, the wage achieved was the lowest in these sectors.
In April 2021 compared with April 2020, employment increased in information and communication by 3,4 % and in selected market services by 2,4 %. It decreased the most in accommodation by 19,7 % and a decrease above 10 % was also in the activities of food and beverage services (by 12,2 %). It dropped also in construction by 5,1 %, in wholesale by 4,7 %, in retail trade by 4,5 %, in sale and repair of motor vehicles by 4,3 %, in industry by 3 % and in transportation and storage by 1,6 %
