| Croatia to receive invitation to NATO in 2008 |

| Croatia will receive an invitation to join NATO at a its summit to take place in Bucharest next year, Croatian Prime Minister Ivo Sanader said after talks with the U.S. Under-Secretary for Political Affairs Nicholas Burns. The latter said that he represented President George W. Bush and the State Secretary Condoleezza Rice, and that his presence in Croatia was a sign of strong support to the Republic of Croatia. |
