Czechia adheres to EU position over issue of possible move of embassy in Israel
Prag, 13.12.2022
The Czech foreign minister, Jan Lipavský, says that the country adheres to a UN Security Council resolution as well as the unified position of the EU when it comes to the possible relocation of its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The EU is opposed to such moves and does not recognise Jerusalem as the capital of Israel. On Sunday Czech President Miloš Zeman said he expected the government to approve such a relocation, which he favours, soon. A spokesperson for the prime minister, Petr Fiala, said he was inclined toward moving the embassy but was currently focused on the Czech EU presidency and the war in Ukraine. odkaz na stránku
