| The rising cost of living is currently the most pressing concern for 93% of Europeans; poverty and social exclusion follow (82%). Both the potential spread of the war in Ukraine to other countries and the climate change emergency remain leading worries for 81% of EU citizens.
espite these concerns, support for the EU remains high. Across the European Union, citizens are calling on the European Parliament to defend democracy, protect human rights and the freedom of thought. They also want it to prioritise the fight against poverty and social exclusion, public health, action against climate change and support to the economy.
