The Association of Socio-Economic Analysts (ASEA) appeals that the Slovak minimum wage, despite its increase, does not ensure a dignified life. This was stated by the founder of ASEA, trade unionist and socio-economic analyst Ján Koè.Since the beginning of January, the minimum wage has risen to 700 euros per month, or 4,023 euros per hour. For the first time in history, unions and employers have agreed on the amount of the minimum wage, Koè said.
He added that if there was no agreement between the Confederation of Trade Unions (KOZ) of the Slovak Republic and employers, the amount of the minimum wage would be set at 691 euros according to the formula in the law. However, based on the amount of the hourly minimum wage, adjusted through purchasing power parity (PPP), i.e. taking into account the purchasing power in individual countries, the amount of the minimum wage in the Slovak Republic (4.25 euros) fell even more and this year it is the second worst, ahead of Bulgaria (4.12 euros), pointed out the trade unionist. In terms of the hourly minimum wage in purchasing power parity, the Slovak Republic also caught up with North Macedonia (4.74 euros) and Serbia (4.21 euros) among non-EU countries.odkaz na stránku |
