| The National Council agrees to accede to the Act on Geographical Indications |

| According to the Office, the non-accession of the Slovak Republic to the Convention would result in the obligation of the entities concerned to request the cancellation of existing registrations of designations in the register of the World Intellectual Property Organization.This was decided by MPs on Wednesday. According to the office, 30 countries are parties to the Lisbon Agreement, including seven EU member states - Bulgaria, Czechia, France, Hungary, Portugal, Slovakia and Italy.
