| U.S. chipmaker makes the largest investment in the history of the Czech Republic |

| U.S. chipmaker Onsemi will invest $2 billion (€1.86 billion) in production in the Czech Republic, where it will expand its plant in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm in the Zlín region. According to Czech Prime Minister Petr Fiala, this is the largest such investment in the modern history of the independent Czech Republic. He announced this on Wednesday at a government meeting, TASR correspondent in Prague reports.
"It is a great success, because it is exactly in the area that we want and need to develop strategically. If the investment is implemented in the entire planned scope, it will be around two billion dollars and it is the largest similar investment in the modern history of the independent Czech Republic,"
