| Beer consumption in Germany continued to decline in the first half of 2024.Breweries sold a total of 4.2 billion liters of this alcoholic beverage, which was 0.6% less than in the same period last year.TASR informs about this based on the report of the DPA agency, which published the data of the Federal Statistical Office Destatis on Thursday.Sales on the domestic market in the volume of 3.4 billion liters were 0.9% lower. The downward trend was not stopped even by the European football championship, which was held in Germany this year. Although there was growth in the period before this important event, the months of May and June did not reach the values of the previous year.
