| Direct train connection with Kyiv will start from December 15 |

| A direct train connection between Bratislava and Kiev, Ukraine, will be launched from December 15. After the meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic, Industrial and Scientific and Technical Cooperation between Slovakia and Ukraine, this was confirmed in Košice by Deputy Prime Minister Peter Kmec (Hlas-SD). According to him, this will fulfill the agreement at the level of prime ministers of both countries from the October meeting of governments near Uzhhorod.
"As agreed at the level of prime ministers, a direct railway line between Kyiv and Bratislava will be launched, so one of those strategic projects that we have set out to enable Ukrainian citizens to travel to the European Union more easily will be fulfilled by the end of the year," Kmec said.
The establishment of the railway line was praised by Ukrainian Deputy Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko. "We are very pleased that the volumes of freight transport, but also passenger transport, are growing," she said about the joint projects.odkaz na stránku |
