The price revolution begins: Discounter has already reduced VAT

The chain reduces the price by 5% of the value of VAT in several categories of food. From November 11, the price of hundreds of products in all 165 discount stores in Slovakia will fall. "Despite the fact that the adjusted VAT will not come into force until January, we have already started a price revolution at Lidl. We have decided to invest in lower prices in order to protect our customers' wallets and ensure that they can afford more for their money, even before the holidays. At Lidl, "Every day, low prices" applies," said Martin Nagy, Sales Director of the Purchasing Department of Lidl Slovak Republic. The price reduction applies to hundreds of products that customers put in their baskets with virtually every purchase. The reduced VAT from 10% to 5% applies to selected types of fruit and vegetables, selected fresh meat, fresh juices and juices, table bread, rolls and honey. Thanks to the price reduction, customers will be able to buy consumer bread at Lidl for €1.59 and a roll for 12 cents. The reduction also applies to meat products, with a kilogram of chilled chicken now costing €2.89 and a kilogram of chicken breast cutlets €6.65. For a kilo of boneless pork neck in its entirety, consumers pay €6.35. Customers will be able to buy fresh 100% fruit juice for €2.75.odkaz na stránku
