The Department of Labor plans to adjust the living wage amounts from July 2025
Bratislava, 21.05.2025
The Ministry of Labour, Social Affairs and Family (MLSAF) of the Slovak Republic plans to adjust the subsistence minimum amounts from July this year. The amount of the subsistence minimum always changes as of July 1, and is valid until June 30 of the following year. This follows from the preliminary information on the draft measure on the adjustment of the subsistence minimum amounts, which was published by the MLSAF on the legislative and legal portal Slov-lex. "The adjustment of the subsistence minimum amounts will be carried out by multiplying these amounts by the coefficient of growth of the living costs of low-income households determined by the Statistical Office (ŠÚ) of the Slovak Republic for the decisive period, which is considered to be the period from April of the previous calendar year to April of the current calendar year," the Ministry of Labour stated in the preliminary information. Based on the office's data, the coefficient of growth of the living costs of low-income households for the period from April of the previous year to April of the current calendar year was at the level of 1.037. In the case of an adult natural person, the current subsistence minimum is EUR 273.99 per month until June 30, 2025. If it is another adult natural person assessed jointly, it is a total of EUR 191.14 per month, and for a dependent child or a dependent minor child, it is a monthly amount of EUR 125.11.odkaz na stránku
