| Trnava signed a contract for the preparation of project documentation |

| The city of Trnava has signed a contract for the work with AFRY Slovakia to prepare project documentation for the intended construction of the Integrated Passenger Transport Terminal (TIOP). The main idea is to exchange the location of the bus station with the location of the current parking lot in front of the entrance to the railway station. This follows from information published in the gazette of the Public Procurement Office (ÚVO).
"Changing the location of bus platforms to new locations will shorten bus routes, thereby shortening their travel times. A more attractive and higher-quality space will increase the comfort and overall feeling of passengers when using this space," states the description of the subject of the contract.
By establishing a sufficient number of covered stopping areas and concentrating them in the location of the current parking lot in front of the railway station building, long walking trips of passengers using a combination of rail and suburban and city bus transport should be eliminated, according to the city.
Functional changes should be made to the intersections of Kollárova-Hospodárska-Dohnányho and Kollárova-Hlinku streets, as well as all roads and most pedestrian routes in the area under consideration, in accordance with the submitted feasibility study, which was prepared by the city's professional employees.
Among other things, the construction of a new pedestrian bridge over Kollárova and Dohnányho streets and a bicycle parking building, which will be accessible from it, is planned. "The existing bridge is intended for demolition, the demolition work project is part of this contract. The construction of a kiss and ride zone at the rear entrance to the railway station (in front of the post office building) is also planned," the city explains in the description of the subject of the contract. Two offers were submitted to the public procurement for the preparation of project documentation. The offer with a total contract price of almost 640,000 euros including VAT won.
