| Hops production in Germany increased significantly last year. |

| Thanks to relatively favorable weather, German farmers harvested significantly more hops last year than before. The harvest increased by 13% compared to the previous year to 46,536 tons, the Federal Information Centre for Agriculture (BZL) announced on Monday. Compared to 2022, the harvest increased by as much as 35%. TASR reports this based on information from the DPA agency. Industry experts warn that the greater supply of hops will not lead to a decrease in beer prices, as other costs have risen. The largest hop-growing area in the world is located in the Hallertau region of Bavaria. This year's harvest is expected to start at the end of August.
