| Miroslav Kučera, SARIO’s Strategy Director, explained the system of state investment support in Slovakia as well as SARIO’s investment promotion methodology. He also elaborated on sector priorities in SARIO’s investment promotion strategy and the importance of R&D investments to ensure sustainability of Slovak industry’s competitiveness.
At the beginning of her presentation, Ms Barbora Miklošková presented the Slovak Investment and Trade Development Agency, its main role, activities, organizational structure and completed investment projects. Then she presented the slovak investment environment with all the significant facts that make Slovakia such an attractive location for their investment activities. She mentioned the taxation system in Slovakia - including 19% tax flat rate and no dividend taxes - favorable labor costs, educational system, infrastructure plans etc.
The Korean audience asked several questions regarding investment project management, how a project is developed and managed. They also asked what kind of services can be provided for already established investors by our After Care department.
Other questions concerned the availability of real estate and how SARIO can be helpful in the search for investor’s real estate.
Finally, they asked about the comparative advantages and disadvantages among Central European countries in the field of attracting investors.
