| Russian oil company Rosneft is to supply half a million barrels of oil per day to Indian private refinery Reliance, Reuters reported, citing three sources familiar with the situation.
The 10-year deal represents 0.5% of global supply and is worth about $13 billion a year at today's prices. It would further strengthen energy ties between India and Russia, which is under severe Western sanctions over its invasion of Ukraine, Reuters reported.Reliance said it works with international suppliers, including from Russia, and the deals are based on market terms. The company declined to comment further on the business, citing the confidentiality of supply contracts. Russia’s Rosneft did not respond.
The deal comes ahead of a planned visit to India by Russian President Vladimir Putin and after US President-elect Donald Trump said he wants to force Moscow and Kiev to stop the war as soon as he takes office in January.odkaz na stránku |
