| Farmers can apply for direct support |

| The Agricultural Paying Agency (PPA) has launched the possibility of submitting unified applications for direct support for farmers. In this year's PPA campaign, the PPA will redistribute almost 600 million euros. The PPA announced this on Monday.
"In the 2025 Campaign, we are bringing several new features and simplifications to applicants. However, the most current are the measures in connection with the occurrence of foot-and-mouth disease. We assure breeders that they will not lose any part of the support they are entitled to. Whether their breeding will be affected or not," said PPA Director General Marek Èepko.
Farmers have until mid-May to apply for support from the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund and the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development.
The PPA explained that, within the framework of the Geospatial Support Application (GSAA), ski areas that are managed outside the ski season have been re-added to the agricultural land register. Applicants can apply for support for 825 hectares of ski areas. New geotagged photos with higher resolution and more frequent shooting are also new. According to the PPA, updated images of reference areas in central Slovakia have also been added to the system.
"We are gradually simplifying processes and we believe that farmers have already felt it. This year too, we will make advance payments and we will proceed according to a clear schedule that we published some time ago," explained Èepko.
Applicants can submit unified applications for direct support via the slovensko.sk portal until May 15, 2025. Applications can also be submitted after this deadline, but the PPA has warned that there will be a penalty for late submission, namely until May 31, 2025.
