| The Swedish central bank (Riksbank) kept its key interest rate unchanged on Wednesday, as the outlook for inflation and economic activity remained generally stable. TASR reports this based on a report from the RTTNews portal.
The executive board of the central bank decided to keep the interest rate at 1.75% after cutting it by a quarter of a percentage point in September. Since the start of monetary policy easing in May 2024, the bank has lowered the key rate by a total of 200 basis points. "The interest rate is expected to remain at this level for some time," the bank said in a statement. According to the bank, the current monetary policy setting will help strengthen economic activity and stabilize inflation in the medium term.odkaz na stránku |
