| 439 Slovak residents went bankrupt in October |
| Bratislava, 17.11.2025 |
 |
| In October, 439 debtors went bankrupt in Slovakia. Of the total number of personal bankruptcies, almost 94% were declared against the assets of non-entrepreneurs (412) and the rest against the assets of entrepreneurs (27). 435 citizens chose the form of bankruptcy, only four debtors preferred the installment schedule. This was reported by CRIF - Slovak Credit Bureau.
"Our analysis shows that October is the lowest number of debtors so far this year. This represents a month-on-month decrease of more than 50%. The unusually lower number of registered debtors may be the result of the gradual increase in the insolvency register, which is accompanied by certain technical problems, as we have also seen with the statistics of corporate bankruptcies. Therefore, it makes no sense to compare October data with the previous period and draw conclusions, as this could distort the real situation," warned the company's chief analyst Jana Marková.
In the October statistics, more than 67% of the bankruptcies were men, there were 296 of them. 143 women went bankrupt. Only three women and six men had a university education. The analysis of personal bankruptcies also shows that the majority of debtors accumulate in the productive age group. During October, the largest number of bankruptcies was in the 30-39 age group, with a total of 143 (32.6%) for both sexes. However, among the bankrupt debtors in October there were also senior citizens in their 70s, one 70-year-old and one 80-year-old.
Homeless people made up 12% of the total number of bankruptcies, there were 52. Among the bankrupt debtors were two married couples and eight people with family ties. The largest number of debtors, 102, came from the Prešov region, followed by the Košice region with 73 and the Banská Bystrica region with 69 debtors. The Trnava region had 54 debtors, Nitra 46, Trenčín 40 and Žilina 32 debtors. The fewest debtors, only 23, came from the Bratislava region, which is four times less than in the most affected region, the company calculated.
In October, the courts also annulled 538 bankruptcies that had been declared in previous periods. Of these, 498 were annulled due to lack of assets and 40 after the final schedule of proceeds was met. Not a single debt relief was annulled in October due to dishonest intent, and three debtors were added to the Register of Disqualifications for the same reason. At the same time, no person was deleted from the register after the expiration of a five-year sentence.odkaz na web: odkaz na stránku |
