SOPK activities continue from last year, no significant changes have been made

The activities of the Slovak Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SOPK) follow on from the results of 2024, with no dramatic changes. The chamber recorded a negative development only in the issuance of certificates of origin for goods issued to countries outside the EU, which is a 15% decrease. This was reported by the Chairman of the SOPK, Peter Mihók, who assessed the activities and activities of the chamber in 2025. This year, the SOPK conducted 14 trade missions abroad, in which 69 representatives of Slovak companies participated. Last year, there were the same number of missions, but 88 companies. 11 trade missions from abroad were also received, in which 313 companies participated, which is an increase of 73 companies compared to last year. At the same time, this year, 37 Slovak companies participated in nine fairs and exhibitions abroad as part of the participation organized by the chamber. In 2024, there were also nine fairs and exhibitions, but 41 companies. The Chamber Office, regional chambers and SOPK sections provided 135 seminars, conferences and courses this year, which were attended by 2,230 participants, mainly representatives of business entities. Last year, there were 133 educational activities and 2,713 participants. In 2025, the Chamber also provided 1,136 advisory and consulting services to business entities. Of these, 472 consultations were to non-members, which concerned services for certifying facts important in international trade, such as carnets, certificates of origin of goods or FSC certificates, which confirm that wood and paper products come from sustainably and responsibly managed forests. In the previous year, there were 981 services for 474 non-members. So far this year, SOPK offices have verified 18,493 commercial documents, of which more than 17,240 are certificates of origin that entrepreneurs need when exporting. Last year, this was 928 documents and 927 certificates of origin less. In 2025, 220 ATA carnets were issued, which are customs documents for temporary exports to third countries. 33 complaints about Slovak ATA carnets were also processed, of which 30 were resolved positively. In the previous year, 232 ATA carnets were issued and 20 complaints were processed. During this year, the SOPK Arbitration Court decided property disputes arising from domestic and international commercial and civil law relationships on the basis of validly concluded arbitration clauses or contracts. From January 1 to November 24, 2025, claims were filed with a total amount of 3.58 million euros. Of this, domestic claims amounted to almost 480,000 euros and claims with an international element amounted to 3.10 million euros. Last year, claims were filed with a total amount of 5.28 million euros, with the international element amounting to over 198,000 euros and domestic claims amounting to 5.08 million euros.odkaz na stránku
