| Self-employed persons and individuals - entrepreneurs who open or already have their own business account at Tatra banka do not have to worry about the new tax burden. Tatra banka will solve part of the new financial burden for them. The offer is valid from January 15 to April 30, 2025.
New tax obligation from April 1, 2025
From April, self-employed persons must count on a new tax obligation that will increase their costs. Payments from business accounts or cash withdrawals will be taxed with a transaction tax. Its amount will depend on the value of the transaction, for payment cards it will be an annual constant amount. The law introduces many exceptions that can be difficult to navigate. Tatra banka wants to bring greater comfort to its clients' lives and accompany them throughout their business journey. Therefore, it has prepared a blog, as well as the most frequently asked questions and answers that help clients understand the new legislative change. However, Tatra banka goes even further.Tatra banka is the only bank in Slovakia that will reimburse the transaction tax on non-cash payments for 2025 to self-employed persons who have an account with it. In addition, they will receive a TB Business Account for 3 years without a fee for its maintenance.
Not only new clients, but also all existing clients - self-employed persons and individuals - entrepreneurs can enjoy this benefit. In addition to saving money, they will also fulfill the obligation to have an open transaction account with the TB Business Account.
