Transneft denied reports of a planned production cut.
Moscow, 17.09.2025
The Russian pipeline operator Transneft denied on Tuesday the media reports about alleged plans to radically limit oil production due to the ongoing attacks by Ukraine on the infrastructure of the Russian oil industry. TASR informs about this based on a report by the TASS agency. The information that Transneft may drastically reduce oil intake from producers in the near future is false, the state-owned company said in response to a report released on Tuesday by the Reuters agency. Similar information aims to destabilize the situation within the information war that the West has waged against Russia, the company added in a statement.Reuters, citing unnamed sources from the Russian energy sector, reported that Transneft has reportedly limited the capacity for oil companies to store oil in its pipeline system in recent days and warned producers that it would have to accept less oil from them.Transneft is the monopoly operator of the pipeline network in Russia. The state owns 78.55% of the company's share capital and simultaneously 100% of the shares with voting rights.odkaz na stránku
